For the Love of Lions was part of a series launch for Facebook's new VR platform in 2015. Facebook had approached us to create 10 pieces of VR content that would be engaging and viral in order to best show off their new technology. The Last of the Rhinos VR, Tahiti Surf VR, and For the Love of Lions VR were some of the standout VR pieces we created, some of which have subsequent BTS videos about how we film them. This particular video was inspired by the unfortunate death of Cecil the Lion, which caused a massive uproar against hunting across the globe.
