LANDSAILOR
βThe LANDSAILOR'β FEATURE SCRIPT - SAMUEL GOLDWYN AWARD WINNER | 2009
Summary:
500 years after an unknown cataclysmic event, the sparse number of humans surviving in this barren wasteland have some mutated form of leprosy. The tale begins along the banks of a dried out desert lake where two brothers stumble onto the buried prow of a small boat and a set of wheels. Lech, highly clever but malignantly blemished, is rescued by his twin brother Finn, a dim-witted Adonis, as they escape their doomed clan in search of the myth of a great ocean. Their journey to a powerful place of healing is beset with obstacles and hardships from nomadic Eve cults to book-burning madmen whispering rumors of Babbage, an all-powerful healing scientist. Before the end, our deformed protagonist must accept his maladies in order to learn that the love for his brother is what makes him whole.
