The Ultra Music Festival in Miami is already worth staying up for three straight days to attend, even without the new “Carl Cox + Friends Megastructure” (in which Mr. Cox will be joined in performing by the likes of Afrojack, Fredde Le Grand and Moby). Sadly, buying tickets for the event c’est impossible: they’ve plum sold out.
All, however, is not lost. If you can’t stand the thought of missing Deadmou5, Tiësto, and even Duran Duran (yes, it’s true, so feather your hair and get ready) you may still be able to cop a free pair, courtesy of the mighty Mr. Cox and the good people at UMF: they’re giving away one set for the weekend, and all you have to do is toss your name in the hat. Oh, and explain why you think YOU deserve them – so there appears to be some judging involved. I suggest you put down your vaporizer and get creative – last chance to enter is March 15.
Ive been going to ultra since 2006 and have been there every year since. It is the yearly remedy i need to fufill my taste in great music and production. There is no music festival like this in the world and sadly this may be the last time i may be able to attend for years to come because of a new job oppurtunity that will take me out of the great city of Miami.
I’ve never been to ultra. I haven’t been to it and i put it first before anything. Its absolutely incredible to me and means the world to me. Dance music has been apart of me all my life. Ive watched the ultra video 223 times and listen to live dj’s sets for two months straight. Ultra gives me faith in myself that i will be a djaying at ultra later in the future soon. I did everything in my power to go to ultra but just didn’t have enough money to raise up for it. I did fundraisers, selling candy, pawning things you name it. Its not fair if i have the money i would buy both weekends. It would mean the absolute world to me if i won this ticket cause this is contest is all i have left. Please please please help a #1 dance fan help her dreams come true. So many people told me your not gonna go just give up but no i believe in myself and i have faith in everything i say or do i will never give up ultra is life.. Much love
